Magnificent Himalayas

Sweet Moments in Harsh Himalayas

Hindou passage to the other world

Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandou is one of the most important Hindou temples in the world. The sacred Bagmati river is used for ritual bathing and carries the ashes of Hindou bodies burned in the temple.

Among the Giants

Four out of the five highest mountains in the world in one giant view from Mera Peak climb: Everest (1st) and Lhotse (4th), Kanchenjunga (3rd), Makalu (5th). Two more pictures at dawn: Everest and Lhotse, and Makalu and Chamlang. And then, the most powerful mountain panorama I have ever seen, on the descent from Mera Peak, with Everest, Lhotse, Peak 41, Baruntse, Makalu and Chamlang in one view.
